I see your courage in arriving to this page today and deeply recognize that seeking counselling can feel daunting and vulnerable.  I am excited you are here and curious to learn more. I firmly believe in the innate resilience within each individual to navigate life's challenges and emerge as their authentic selves. My guiding therapeutic principle is that all our resources needed for growth and healing already reside within us. Drawing from relational, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive frameworks, I integrate family of origin, somatic, and emotionally focused therapies to help you tap into your body's innate wisdom, recognize attachment patterns, and gain a contextual understanding of your experiences.

James Hollis understood that symptoms were expressions of the soul's longing for healing, each one representing a unique wound seeking attention. It is both an honour and a privilege for me to accompany you on this journey of gentle exploration and healing, approaching your wounds with utmost tenderness and care.

In my practice, I strive to cultivate an authentic and non-judgmental space where you can express yourself fully at any stage of your journey. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to sit with you, to connect, and to embark on this journey together.

I'm Maggie, let me share a bit more about myself.

Our earliest relationships sculpt the neural pathways of connection, influencing the entirety of our relational journey."
Allan Schore

"The body's sensations are the doorway to healing trauma; somatic practices help us walk through it"
Dr. Peter Levine

Attachment is not a noun; it's a verb. It's not an idea; it's a way of being with someone.
Dr. Dan Siegel

Before completing my Master of Counselling Psychology at Adler University, I bring to the table a decade of extensive experience in rehabilitation. This journey has seen me working closely with a diverse clientele facing various mental and physical health hurdles. From musculoskeletal injuries to persistent pain, chronic health conditions to post-cancer recovery, and from brain injuries to navigating grief, depression, anxiety, and trauma – my path has been rich with encounters across the spectrum of human experience.

My tenure in vocational rehabilitation, spanning roles in exercise, regional leadership, and disability management, has gifted me numerous learning opportunities. Collaborating with a myriad of skilled healthcare professionals has broadened my understanding of the comprehensive care available, shaping my approach to therapy into one that is holistic and firmly grounded in evidence.
